I’m a Virginia Beach native, wife, mom to two young boys and dog mom to two pups. Between family, work, and everything else life throws our way, organization is one of the ways I keep it all moving. I do a quarterly reset of my own home, genuinely enjoy sorting and organizing, and don’t even get me started on my love of a good dumpster.

I’m also someone who understands that our things aren’t always just things. They can hold memories, represent people we love, or remind us of a particular season of life. Letting go doesn’t mean letting go of the memory. Sometimes it means taking a photo, choosing one special piece to keep, or passing something along to a friend, family member, or charity where it can continue to be useful and loved. Because really, how many one-of-a-kind elementary school art projects can one mom keep?!

In my professional life, I’m a communicator and project manager at heart. I love a good list, pay attention to the details, and believe the best way to tackle something overwhelming is to break it into smaller, manageable pieces. The same approach works at home. It’s ok to start small. A pantry. A laundry room. Rome wasn’t built in a day. We just need to figure out where to start.

That’s really why I started Simply Next. I love helping people create a little more space, a little less stress, and a practical path forward, without judgment or pressure.
